Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was updated on July 24, 2026, for the TALKTIME application, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The link to this policy on these stores always points to the latest version.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect.

WE DO NOT COLLECT ANY PERSONAL DATA THAT COULD IDENTIFY YOU, INCLUDING WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE GDPR.

Your contacts and the content of your messages and calls never leave your device. Only non-identifying audience measurement is performed, as described below.

TALKTIME does not require an internet connection for normal operation (excluding the meetings feature).

TALKTIME requires only minimal internet access for its meetings scheduling feature, which works through push notifications sent and received via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.

Data is processed by our technical subprocessors (Google Cloud Platform, Firebase) for hosting and push messaging, under GDPR-compliant contracts.

For service optimization and product-improvement purposes, TALKTIME performs non-identifying audience measurement, triggered when a meeting link or a share link is opened. No data is ever collected about the content of your messages, calls, or contacts.

This data is sent to our own measurement service, operated via Google Cloud Platform and Firebase. Depending on the technical services used, some hosting, storage, or processing operations may take place outside the European Union, with GDPR-compliant contractual safeguards. This data is never shared with any advertising third party.

When a meeting link is opened, the following may be sent: a technical meeting identifier (not tied to your identity), the platform and a general device description (phone/tablet type, operating system and model), the language, the app version, the installation date, and a non-identifying indicator of the app edition used (free or premium — with no payment data whatsoever). This information cannot identify you and is used solely to assess usage and improve the app.

Likewise, the share links (referral, update, website) generated by the app contain a timestamped origin code used to measure, in aggregate, the effectiveness of sharing when a recipient clicks the link. This code contains no personal data.

Apart from this non-identifying audience measurement, your personal information, your contact list, and the content of your messages are never sent to any server and remain stored locally on your device, except for CRM data export.

CRM Data Export : You can manually export your contacts and CRM data via the app's CRM feature. In this case, the information is saved in plain text in a local file on your device. This file remains under your control and can be shared via other apps at your discretion. TalkTime is not responsible for how you use this exported file.

Note: Previous versions of TalkTime allowed encrypting these exports. For regulatory compliance reasons, this feature has been removed, and encrypted CRM files from previous versions are no longer supported.

Note regarding WhatsApp: clicking a WhatsApp link requires an internet connection specific to WhatsApp, and using it also requires internet access. This behavior is consistent with WhatsApp's expected functionality. Again, no internal WhatsApp data — including message content — is ever collected or accessed by TALKTIME.

Promo codes and referral: Referral codes are generated locally by the app. They do not contain any personal data, whether in plain or encrypted form. Users may share these codes freely, either in person or via external messaging services. TALKTIME allows users to pre-compose a message and forward it to a chosen messaging app — by default WhatsApp — to simplify the referral process.

Since TALKTIME requires no payment and no additional telecom account registration, it never requests payment data and no charges can ever be attributed to TALKTIME. Phone calls are handled by your phone's native dialer and your mobile carrier(s) using the SIM card(s) already installed on the device. Therefore, any telecom charges are managed solely by your mobile network operator and are not related to TALKTIME.

Note regarding the PREMIUM subscription: this is handled via in-app purchase. TALKTIME does not collect or process any personal or payment data here either, and no charges can be directly attributed to TALKTIME.

Your contact list, as well as any prewritten messages or challenge prompts, are stored locally on your device and never leave it. If the user modifies any of this content, the consequences of those modifications are the responsibility of the user.

Additionally, when you click on a WhatsApp link (a button with a URL starting with wa.me), it is your sole responsibility to confirm or cancel the message before sending it to the prefilled number. TALKTIME cannot be held liable for any disclosure of your phone number through this action.

Note for support via WhatsApp: TALKTIME generates a technical context code (bitmap) that can be included in a predefined "assistance" message sent voluntarily by the user via a WhatsApp link. This code does not contain any personal data and is only used to facilitate technical assistance.
